Karma

What is Karma?

Karma is a numeric score that reflects your overall consistency and commitment in Peaky Twins. It rewards completing tasks, penalises missing them, and gives a bonus for maintaining a streak. The minimum Karma score is 0 — it can never go negative.

The Karma Formula

Your Karma score is calculated using the following formula:

Karma = (totalCompleted × 10) − (totalMissed × 5) + (currentStreak × 2)

The result is always at least 0 — if the raw calculation is negative, your Karma is set to 0.

Formula Variables

  • totalCompleted — The total number of Tasks you have completed across both Goals and Challenges. Every completed Task, regardless of type, adds 10 points to your Karma.
  • totalMissed — The total number of Tasks you have missed — specifically, Tasks whose due date has passed without being completed. Each missed Task deducts 5 points from your Karma.
  • currentStreak — The count of consecutive UTC calendar days on which you completed at least one Task of any type (Goal or Challenge). Each day in your current streak adds 2 points to your Karma.

Badge Tiers

Your Karma score maps to one of five badge tiers. These are static thresholds — the app does not display your personal badge here, but you can use the table below to find where you stand.

Worked Example

Suppose a user has the following stats:

  • totalCompleted = 10
  • totalMissed = 2
  • currentStreak = 5

Applying the formula step by step:

Karma = (10 × 10) − (2 × 5) + (5 × 2)
Karma = 10010 + 10
Karma = 100

A Karma score of 100 places this user in the Peak Twin 🏔️ tier (100+).
